Philip J. Silva, 78, of Dartmouth passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 21, 2023. He was the husband of the late Carol (Konowski) Silva.
Born in New Bedford, son of the late Leonard C. and Catherine M. (Mullarkey) Silva, he lived in Dartmouth most of his life.
Philip had a lifelong interest in horses and archery having run a small business making traditional wooden bows. He cherished his time with his grandchildren. Philip served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his children, Katrina Maitoza and her husband Michael of Dartmouth, and Benjamin Silva and his partner Adrienne Zack of San Francisco; his siblings, Leonard C. Silva of Florida, Ted Silva of Fairhaven, Stephen Silva of Oregon, and David Silva of North Carolina; his grandchildren, Joshua and Jacob Maitoza; and his dear friend Sue Small.
He is predeceased by his wife and his son Matthew P. Silva.
Philip's visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 from 10-11 AM. A service in the Funeral Home will be held at 11 AM and burial will follow in South Dartmouth Cemetery.
