Obituary

George F. Sheehan 92, of Hyde Park, passed away peacefully on January 19th after a long illness.

Son of the late George E. Sheehan and the late Virginia (Hemmer) Sheehan. Predeceased by his brother Edward Sheehan and sister Gloria Sheehan-Langner.

Beloved Father of Janet Keeley and her husband John of Middleboro, George Sheehan and his wife Kathryn of Quincy, Lisa Filleti-Frias and her husband Anthony of Natick, James Sheehan and his wife Tatiana of Florida and his loving grandchildren; Allison, John, James, John, Geoffrey, Joseph, Olivia, Katelyn, Riley, and his cherished great-grandchildren.
Also survived by his loving Nieces and Nephews.

His greatest pride and joy was time spent with his family, often sharing stories of his childhood adventures. He enjoyed many afternoons watching his grandchildren play sports, while cheering them on from the sidelines. In later years, he remained their biggest champion.

George is a retiree from both the New England Telephone Company, and the US Postal Service.

George is a veteran of the Korean War. He served honorably in the Armed Forces of the United States, achieving the rank of Corporal. He was a proud member of the 224th Regimental Combat Team. His experience in the Army had a very impactful effect on his life, that led to lifelong friendships with many of his fellow service members.

A private service will take place at Dockray and Thomas Funeral Home in Canton, with interment at the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
