Obituary

Thomas R. Duxbury Sr., 75, of Londonderry, NH, passed away Tuesday January 17, 2023, surrounded by his loving family in Community Hospice House, Merrimack, NH. Tom was born on December 8, 1947 in Syracuse, NY, a son of the late Charles and Alyce (Arney) Duxbury. Throughout his life, Tom was an avid traveler who loved to take photos of all the places he visited. While working for Millipore, he had the opportunity to live in Paris, France, leading him to take many glorious adventures (and photos) throughout Europe. Upon retirement, Tom took to spending more time at his beloved camp on Lake Winnipesaukee, where he would boat and fish with his grandchildren, celebrate evenings next to the fire with friends and family, and enjoy the quiet times with his wife Ida. Tom was kind man, who was always ready to lend a hand to those in need. But above all else, Tom cherished and loved his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all.

He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Ida (Celia) Duxbury of Londonderry; one daughter, Dr. Melissa Duxbury, MD and her husband Dr. Nathan Blow PhD, of Litchfield, NH, three sons, Mike Perry and his wife Ami of Barnstead, NH, Steve Perry of New Hampshire, and Dr. Thomas R. Duxbury Jr., DPT and his wife Kayla of Epping, NH; eight grandchildren, Ryan and Alyce Blow, Shawn Perry, Mikey and Matthew Perry, and Ava, Thomas and Landon Duxbury; two great grandchildren, one sister, Jane (Duxbury) Atwater and her late husband Ralph of Baldwinsville, NY as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was predeceased by one brother, Charles Duxbury, formerly of Syracuse, NY.

Calling hours were held on Saturday, January 21, 2023 from 1 - 4PM in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry with a service during visitation at 2:30pm. Cremation will follow. At the request of the family, mask usage is required. Burial will be in the spring in the Pillsbury Cemetery, Londonderry.
