Margaret E. MacInnis, an Andover native, passed away at Penacook Place in Haverhill on Sunday morning, January 15, 2023. She was 80 years old.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, on March 31, 1942, she was the beloved daughter of the late Paul A. and Margaret C. (Nicoll) MacInnis.
A graduate of Andover High School and an undergraduate at Merrimack College, she earned her master’s degree at Salem State College in 1988. She was an elementary school teacher in several school systems, with her last position being in the City of Lawrence School System.
She previously lived in Amesbury, MA and Ashland Farms at North Andover. Her sister, Joan M. Hanson predeceased her.
Her Funeral will be held from the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover on Friday, January 20, 2023, at 8:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated in St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover at 9:30 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Interment will be in the Spring Grove Cemetery in Andover.
