Karen (Patturelli) (Gately) Jarvis of Falmouth, formerly of Medford, Lynnfield and London died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on January 12th, after a lengthy battle with thyroid cancer.
Karen leaves her mother, Diane Patturelli of Falmouth, her sister Kristen Gavin and husband Matthew of Falmouth, her brother Paul Patturelli and his wife Danielle of Peabody, her son Nicholas Gately of Medford, her daughter Cloe Jarvis and son Jack Jarvis both of Falmouth. Karen also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her father, Henry Patturelli.
Upon graduation from Lesley University, Karen began her 20 year career with Ropes and Gray in both their Boston and London Offices. She then went on to establish her own tax consulting firm, Accurate Income Tax and Book Keeping. Karen was a longtime volunteer at Christ the King Church in Mashpee and at St. Joseph House in Hyannis.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St. Medford on Monday, January 23rd from 9 – 11 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church,441 Fellsway West, Medford at 11:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Karen’s name to St. Jude Children’s research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
