Obituary

Brian Francis Williams, age 65 of Middleborough died unexpectedly on January 11, 2023 in Taunton. Brian was born on October 13, 1957 in Brockton and was the son of the late Marlborough (Mal) and Helen Marie (Belcher) Williams.

Brian was always enterprising, whether it was selling newspapers or shining shoes in downtown Brockton. He was very athletic growing up being coached by his Dad in Little League and hockey, later taking up boxing as a hobby.

Brian graduated from Bridgewater-Raynham High School in Bridgewater where he was a member of the Golf Team and was very proficient in skipping school. He went on to manage Bob’s Big Boy Restaurant and Lobster Hut in Brockton before becoming one of the top sales agents for Prudential Insurance Company.

Brian is survived by two sisters to cherish his memory and his quirky sense of humor, Cheryl Aldridge and her husband Dennis of Sebring, FL and Freedom, NH and Kimberly Houghton of Somerset.

He also leaves nephews and nieces Mark Famularo and his wife Dawn of Taunton, Scott Famularo and his wife Nichole of New Bedford, Erik Famularo of Florida, Justin Rauer and his wife Lisa of North Dighton, Michael Rauer and his wife Jennifer of Swansea, Nicholas Rauer and his wife Jamie of Norton, and Matthew Lander of Pawtucket, RI as well as many great nephews and nieces.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10am on Thursday, January 19, at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Avon. A celebration of Brian’s life will be held at a later date.
