Obituary

THOMPSON, CT – Brian R. “Puck” Paquette, 62, died Friday, January 13, 2023 in Hartford Hospital after a short illness. His wife of 31 years, Bernice A. (Lareau) Paquette, died in 2019.

He leaves 3 sons, Nick B. Paquette and his wife Sarah of Roxbury, NH, Kyle S. Paquette and his wife Penny of Putnam, and Joseph P. Paquette of Thompson; 3 grandchildren, Chandon Lamoureux, Aubrey Paquette and Amara Paquette; and many nephews, nieces and cousins.

He was born on March 17, 1960 in Webster, MA, the son of Richard and Charlotte (Cyr) Paquette and raised there. He graduated from Bay Path Regional Vocational High School in Charlton, MA in 1979. He resided in Thompson for most of his life.

Mr. Paquette worked over 35 years at Johnson Corrugated, later Norampac, retiring as shift supervisor when it closed. He then was a forklift operator at Worcester Envelope Company.
Brian was an expert bowler and once competed on the televised weekly candlepin show “Candlepins for Cash.” He also liked fishing and trapping.

Memorial calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 28, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM in the Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster, MA. A celebration of his life will follow at the TSKK, 21 Harris Street, Webster. Relatives and friends are invited to attend both or either events.
