Obituary

After a long, hard battle with cancer, Christopher L. St. Pierre passed away on January 13, 2023 at home in Derry, NH, surrounded by his son, mother and father. He was 45 at the time of his passing.

Born April 20, 1977, in Haverhill MA, Chris was the only child of Ernie and Brenda (Migliori) St. Pierre and the first grandchild for Brenda’s parents. Chris lived in Collette’s Grove in Derry during the blizzard of 1978, where roads didn’t get plowed, and so his family moved closer to town after his mom said “never again.”

Chris grew up in Derry and attended the Derry schools. He worked in the trades his entire life from construction operations and HVAC jobs to maintenance at a mall near Boston, and his last job was in The Home Depot plumbing department. He loved the job, and the people loved him.

One of the brightest days in Chris’s life was February 14, 1999 when his son Derek was born. Chris raised Derek and wanted nothing more to remain on Earth to see him become a grown man. Chris was extremely proud of the person his son had become. Derek stayed by his Dad’s side during his lengthy cancer battle, and even brought Chris out one last time on a turkey hunt this past year.

Throughout his life, Chris loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, hunting and boating with his family, friends and co-workers. He always wanted to catch one of those monster striped bass, and he spent many days and nights trying to achieve that dream. He loved traveling to different parts of the country with his son and father, especially to North Carolina with their friend and guide, Mr. Willie.

In addition to his son, Derek, Chris leaves his mother, father, uncles, and an aunt along with several cousins and many friends. He will be deeply missed, and we can only hope he is in a better place and no longer suffers with pain.

We wanted to thank everyone from the Dana Farber who treated Chris during his battle and a special thank you to Rockingham VNA Hospice entire team for the great care, comfort, companionship and support they provided for Chris and his family while under Hospice care. We also want to thank Rick for being a great friend to Chris and help to his family during this troubling time.
Rest in Peace, Chris. Mom and Dad love you and will miss you ever so much. We are so proud of you and the great job you have done with Derek. Until we meet again!
