Obituary

Bette M. DiRienzo, 70, died May 27 at the Braemoor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Brockton. Born in Boston, she attended West Roxbury Schools and was a graduate of Roslindale High School. She also attended Bentley College. Ms. DiRienzo worked as a clerk at Boston Edison in the Prudential Center for over 35 years. She retired in 1993. She was a member of the Clerical Workers Union Local 369 and the Utility Worker’s Union. She was a resident of Brockton for about 20 years. In her free time, she enjoyed bowling at the Bowl-a-drome in West Roxbury, golfing and watching the Red Sox.

Ms. DiRienzo was the daughter of Ethel E. (Peterson) DiRenzo of Brockton and the late Angelo DiRenzo. She is also survived by her sisters, Marie Rutter and her husband Jack of NC, and Dolores Amoroso and her husband Alfred of Brockton. Ms. DiRienzo was also the sister of the late Charles J. DiRienzo and June Falco. She was the sister in law of Ainello Falco of Medford and the late Joan (Jolly) DiRienzo. She was the great aunt of 13 nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, May 31 at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes, West St., Brockton, at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday 4-8 PM. Donations in Bette’s name may be made to the charity of your own choice. Burial will be at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
