Charlton
Carole M. (Lombardi) Cristo 80, of Brookfield Road, Charlton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 8, 2023.
She was born in Milford the daughter of Police Sargent Ernest Lombardi and Phyllis (Giacomuzzi) Lombardi, a teacher at the Plains School. After graduating from Milford High School class of 1960, Carole went to work at Miscoe Spring in Mendon where she met and married Joseph Cristo of Millbury, until he passed away in 2009. Carol and Joe owned and operated John’s Pizza in Millbury for nearly 10 years before moving to Charlton. Carole then worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as Office Manager for the clerk Magistrate’s Office’s at the East Brookfield District Court, retiring in 2010. After retirement Carole became a Bail Commissioner for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
She leaves her sons, Ernest J. Cristo, and Michael and his wife Michelle (Cofske) Cristo and her daughter–in-law Kelly (LaFleche) Cristo. Her grandchildren Laynie N. Cristo and her partner AJ Colon, Lacey K. Cristo and her partner Shane Murphy , Brian Cristo, Jr., Courtney Cristo and Kirsten Cristo and her precious great grandchildren, Caedon, Brody and Amelia all of Charlton.
Carole enjoyed being a stepmother to Joseph (Linda) Cristo of Worcester, Cindi (Joe) Chase and John (Sharon) Cristo of Millbury, and her grandchildren Mark and Sheila Chase, Brian and Kristin Chase, Alexis and John Marcus, Lisa and Tom Decoteau and John Cristo. She leaves her great grandchildren Andrew, Lauren and Logan Decoteau. Taylor and Mackenzie Chase and Wesley Marcus. She also leaves a sister Phyllis (Lombardi) Ahearn of Milford and a brother Bernard and Sandra Lombardi of Guilford, CT.
Carole was predeceased by her beloved son Brian and grandson Arthur.
Carole was the heart of the family and was always willing to do whatever it took to see that everyone was taken care of. This brought her the most joy. Her giving nature for anyone in need was her calling. Her faith in our Lord was unwavering and her love of Family undeniable.
There will be no calling hours.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Church, 10 H. Putnam Road, Ext in Charlton on Monday, January 16, 2023 at 10:30 AM. A reception luncheon immediately following the Mass will be held downstairs in the Church Hall.
