Izimini (Kekezi) Plasa, 97, of Worcester died Monday, January 9th in Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Her husband of 29 years, Ilia Plasa died in 1975. She is survived by her two daughters, Zhaneta Melka of Worcester and Maria Rushitaj and her husband, Maksim of Montreal; three grandchildren, Klodian and Ilir Melka and Gledis Rushitaj and five great-grandchildren, Mateo, Ilma, Rijana, Ema and Andriana.
She was born in Gjirokaster, Albania the daughter of Koco and Amalia (Late) Kekezi Izmini was a member of St. Mary's Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church. Her greatest joy was time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her funeral is Friday, January 13th with a service at 11;00 a.m. in St. Mary's Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church, 535 Salisbury Street. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. A visitation will be held Friday, from 10:00 until the time of the service in St. Mary's Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church.
