Williams, Tressie Glendine age 90, of Boca Raton, FL and New Milford, NJ died Sunday, May 28, 2006. Born in Tipperary, Iowa she spent her childhood in Des Moines before moving to New York City. Later she lived in Florida and spent most of her life in NJ. An avid reader, interested in everyone and everything, enthusiastic about life, a dancing butterfly with a terrific sense of humor and an iron will, her family was the center of her life. In return, they adored her. As her grandchildren, Katie and Nicole stated in a poem for her; ”Her heart always shines through and she simply and naturally attracts the love of all who are blessed with her presence.” Married twice, she is the widow of Robert Williams to whom she was happily married to for 35 years. Cherished mother of four children: Geraldine Thorsten of Hicksville, NY, Kenroy Thorsten of New York, NY, Bob Williams of Boynton Beach, FL and Lili Williams Otto of Boca Raton, FL. She will also be deeply missed by her five grandchildren: Julia Mamun, Elizabeth Lofton, James Thorsten, Kathryn Tressie Otto and Nicole Marie Otto, and her three great-grandchildren, Athena and Zena Mamun and Shari Thorsten. She was the last remaining sibling of a very close knit family of seven children. Funeral service Thursday 10AM at Volk Leber Funeral Home, 268 Kinderkamack Road, Oradell. Internment to follow at Brookside Cemetery, Englewood, NJ. Family and friends are invited to visit Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
