Obituary

Anthony Joseph Agresti of Littleton, formerly of Palm Bay, Florida, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 5th at Emerson Hospital after battling heart & lung disease. He was 82. Born in Sommerville, Anthony was the son of the late Mary Dellano Gondola and the late Salvatore Agresti, and the grandson of the late Salvatore & Josephine Dellano of Gaeta, Italy. He was a loving father, grandfather, and uncle, and nothing made him happier than to be surrounded by those he loved. He will truly be missed.

“Tony", as he was affectionately known to family and friends, was raised in Sommerville by his grandparents. He was an accounting graduate of Bentley College and worked in the finance department for Partners Healthcare (Spaulding Rehab and McLean Hospital) for over 30 years. He moved to Littleton after he became owner of 2 horses & 2 dogs and then to raise a family.

Tony was a member of the Westford Elks Club and the Nashoba Valley Photo Club and put on many charity spaghetti suppers. His passion was photography and he spent many years photographing lighthouses and nature around New England and Florida. He retired in 2005 and moved to Palm Bay, Florida to share his life with the late Margaret Powers. Tony made many friends there and enjoyed his beloved Corgi, Lucy.

Tony is survived by his two daughters, Karen Kiernan and her husband Todd, and Kristine Sorrentino, all of Littleton. He was the loving "Pa” to his three grandchildren: Madelyn, Giselle and Ronan Kiernan. Tony is predeceased by his former wife, the late Claire Boudreau. He was the cherished uncle of Kimberly Frattaroli Bagarella and her husband Gary of Danvers, and Mark Murray and his wife Sheri of Medford. Tony was Great “Uncle Flash” to Kaitlyn Doucette and her husband Will of Medford, and Miranda Nazzaro and her husband Kevin of Billerica, and his adoring great nephews, Mark and Joey Frattaroli of Medford. He was the loving brother of his beloved sister and best friend, the late Anna Murray and her late husband Ronald of Medford.

Tony couldn't have been more proud of his two daughters, Kris and Karen. He loved spending time with family, gathering together around family meals, and watching sports and movies. He is remembered by all as a great guy with a generous heart, who loved to joke around, and make others laugh.

At his request, Tony’s services will be private. He will be buried at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford alongside his mother. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Anthony's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorials Processing, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
