Sara Frances Gibbs Coburn, 87, of Lawrenceville passed away Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Northside Hospital Gwinnett in Lawrenceville. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mrs. Coburn at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 12, 2023, at Hickory Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Tifton, where she will be laid to rest. Elder Pat McCoy will officiate.
Born January 31, 1935, in Tifton, Mrs. Coburn was the daughter of the late Annie Roberts Underwood Gibbs and Elder Robert Wilson Gibbs. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Nancy Annette Gibbs. She was a homemaker, and she was a member of Atlanta Primitive Baptist Church.
Mrs. Coburn is survived by her husband, Everette Clay Coburn of Lawrenceville; two sons, Robert Clay Coburn and Everette Francis Coburn, both of Lawrenceville; two daughters, Sara Ann Bishop of Townsend, Tennessee and Nancy Cornelia Coburn-Flaherty of Cumming; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
