Natalie E. (Pestana) Peet, 98, formerly of Medway, died Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport. She was the beloved wife of Everett J. Peet who died in 2010.
Born in Boston on May 23, 1924, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Elizabeth (Dias) Pestana.
Natalie grew up in North Reading and graduated from Reading High School. She had been a longtime resident of Medway until moving to Amesbury ten years ago.
Retiring in 1996, she had worked at the former Filene’s in Natick for 32 years.
Natalie was a great cook, played the organ and enjoyed country music, bird watching and traveling.
She is survived by two daughters Martha Scannell of Milford and Betsy Peet of Newbury and one son James Peet of Amesbury.
She is also survived by two grandsons, Jeffrey Scannell and his wife Erica of Bellingham and David Scannell and his wife Karen of Rogersville, Tennessee, six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandsons.
She was the sister of the late Eleanor Haselton.
Graveside services will be held privately at Evergreen Cemetery in Medway.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to a charity of one’s choice.
