Beverly: Lorraine M. (Tache) Gorski age 87 formerly of Salem, died Sunday morning at the Blueberry Hill Health Care in Beverly. She was the wife of the late John C. Gorski and was also the wife of the late Edward “Ned” Holcroft.
Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Adelard and Isabelle (Martel) Tache. For many years she was employed by Sylvania at several plant locations in Salem and in Danvers. She left Sylvania to work part time, in retail sales, for the former Almy’s Department Store in Salem and Sears at the Northshore Mall. She most recently worked for GLSS in Lynn.
Lorraine is survived by several nieces and nephews including: Aline ‘Noonie’ Gilligan of Beverly and Pat J. (Michaud) Louf- Galvin-Gorton of Salem. She is also survived by grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by 2 sisters: Alice Michaud, Alberta ‘Bertha’ Fournier, 6 brothers: Richard, Romeo Lucien, Albert, Joseph ‘Minnou’ and Eudore Tache.
Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral mass on Friday at 12:30 pm in Ste. Anne Church, 290 Jefferson Ave., Salem. A committal service will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. There will be no visiting hours.
