Born February 21, 1937, in Ossining, NY, Jo was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Donata (Presutti) Gualtieri. She graduated from Ossining High School in 1955 and began her professional career at the former IBM Headquarters in White Plains, NY. On October 19, 1963, she was united in marriage to Thomas F. Upon her husband’s assignment to the Naval Submarine Base New London, CT, Jo started her work at Pfizer Research & Development Laboratories in Groton, CT. Shortly after her retirement in 1996, Jo moved to The Villages, Florida, where she continued to excel at the game of golf, spent relaxing days at the pool, enjoyed dining out, and danced nightly with friends at the town square. Jo knew ALL the line dances!

She is survived by her son Thomas J.
