Obituary


Rose S. Earley, age 89, formerly of Weymouth, MA, Plymouth, MA, and Franklin, MA passed away on Dec. 30, 2022.

She was born in Berlin, NH, daughter of Joseph and Marie Rose Rheaume. She attended schools in Berlin, NH, earned a B.A. in Education from Rivier College in Nashua, NH, and a Ed.M. from Boston University. She taught business and computer courses throughout her career at the high school and community college level.

She loved traveling and cruising during her retirement years with her husband. She was involved in many community and church activities, especially at St. Edward's Church in Medfield, MA, St. Bonaventure Church in Monamet, MA and the Great Island neighborhood of Plymouth, MA. She especially enjoyed knitting, crocheting, singing and music.

She was married to Louis Sullivan in 1968 until his death in 1985. In 1995, she married Francis Earley who was a boyhood friend of Louis Sullivan. They were together until his death in 2015.

She is survived by her son Stephen and his fiancé Marline of Weymouth, MA and her second husband's children: Frank Earley of Auburn, ME, Robert Earley and his wife Toni of Manchester, NH, Dani Acconcia and her husband William of Medfield, MA, Brian Earley and his wife Erin of Franklin, MA and the late Joan Earley.

She adored the grandchildren who always made her feel special — Matthew Earley, Jordyn Acconcia, Rhiannon Brown Earley, Christina Roberti, Meredith Earley, Sean Earley, and Brigid Earley.

She was the 5th of nine children and is survived by a brother Henry Rheaume and Rose Marie of N. Ft. Myers, FL, Germaine McNutt and her husband Paul of Springvale, ME, and Jeanne Perreault and her husband Conrad of Keene, NH.
She was predeceased by her sister Claire Fournier and brothers Leo, Maurice, Louis, and Jules Rheaume. She leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral Mass is on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 1 Church Sq., Franklin, followed by internment at the St. Mary Cemetery in Quincy, MA.

Calling hours will be on Tuesday, January 10 from 5-7 p.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin.

A reception will be held at the Common Market Restaurant in Quincy, MA.

In lieu of flowers, one may wish to make a donation to a dementia organization of their choice.
