Obituary

Kenneth M. Collins, 78, died Friday, December 30, 2022 at his home. He was the husband of Pamela L. (Boudreau) Collins. He had lived in Greenville for 55 years.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Leo F. Collins, Sr. and the late Elinor (Comeau) Collins. He served honorably in the US Army from 1961-1964.

Ken was a Chef having worked at numerous restaurants in RI/MA. After retiring from the restaurant business he began teaching culinary arts and food safety. He developed and taught a culinary arts certificate program at CCRI.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children: Jennifer Collins of San Diego, CA and K.C. Collins and Michelle Weisman of Houston, TX, his two grandchildren: Elijah and Miles, and his siblings: Leo F. Collins, Jr. of Huntsville, AL, Terry P. Collins, Elinor M. Collins and Lynn M. (Collins) Williams, all of Smithfield. He was the brother of the late Barry R. Collins.

His funeral service will be held Thursday at noon in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Burial will be in Acote’s Hill Cemetery, Chepachet. Visitation Wednesday 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to RI Food Bank, 200 Niantic Avenue, Providence, RI 02907
