Kimberly June "Mama Kim" Henderson, 59, of Tifton passed away Saturday, December 31, 2022, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 7, 2023, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Howard Vogan officiating. Ms. Henderson will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 6, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Joseph Velez, Christopher Vaughan, Roderick Hill, Eddie Gibbs, Victor Salinas Jr. and Tony Mathis will serve as pallbearers.
Born November 19, 1963, in Gordon, Ms. Henderson was the daughter of the late Joseph Plowden Henderson and Patty Vinson Henderson. She worked for 24 years at Heatcraft in Tifton as a wire auditor. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Tifton.
Ms. Henderson is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Joseph M. and Dasey Velez of Tifton; two daughters, Victoria Velez and Alicia Henderson, both of Tifton; five grandchildren, Kenyetta J. Holloway, Alexandria T. Vaughan, Christopher P. Vaughan, Roderick T. Hill, Jr. and Leum M. Williams; one great-grandchild, La’ Meria L. Beckhom; her aunt, Sarah H. Willis; her cousins, Johnny and Terri Perez and Eddie and Melanie Gibbs; and her many extended family members.
