Elizabeth J. Paska, Bette as we know her, passed away suddenly on December 27, 2022 at Falmouth Hospital after medical complications at the age of 75. She resided in Mashpee, MA. Bette was an only child preceded in death by her parents, Walter Paska and Mary Sheehey Paska and her long time partner, David Ridley. Bette leaves behind her beloved cat, Max; many close first cousins: Nancy A. Reed, Barbara Linhares, Deborah Lacey and cherished friends including Ann Morin, Janet Dorren and Norman ad Denise Guite.
Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, Bette grew up in Taunton, MA and graduated from Taunton High School before attending business school. Bette Jane worked as the Manager of Human Resources for Motorola from 1976-2000. Bette also worked for Macy’s Department Store as a sales associate.
Many describe Bette as generous and warm-hearted, always ready to lend a helping hand to others. A wonderful and caring person, Bette had a love for animals, the ocean and was an avid New England sports fan. She loved to watch the Red Sox, Patriots and Bruins and even participated in several fantasy leagues. As a Cape Cod resident most of her life (with a short time spent in Florida), Bette loved living close to the beach and enjoyed boating and fishing. She also loved reading, gardening, spending time with and keeping in touch with friends.
