Betty Lou (Poor) Riley Young, 98, passed away at Countryside Manor in Anderson on December 29, 2022.
She was born on August 27, 1924 in Frankton, the daughter of Mark and Martha (Comar) Poor.
She was a 1942 graduate of Daleville High School and worked as a swimming instructor at the Anderson YWCA. Betty Lou was a member of Chesterfield Christian Church, and the Daleville Order of the Eastern Star. She was a long time volunteer with the Victoria Guild at St. John's Hospital.
She is survived by her sons, Steve (Peggy) Riley and Tim Riley; four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jack E. Riley, her second husband, Charles R. Young and her twin sister, Norma Preston.
Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023 at 3:15 p.m. at Bronnenberg Cemetery with Pastor Ned Clark officiating.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Tuesday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service.
Memorial contributions may be given to Chesterfield Christian Church.
