Patricia A. “Pat” Doucette
Retired Social Worker and Trustee for the York, Maine Housing Authority

YORK, MAINE: Patricia A. (Pendleton) Doucette, age 86, of York, Maine, a former longtime resident of East Machias, Maine and Waltham, MA, passed away at the York Hospital on Tuesday, December 27, 2022.

She was the beloved wife of Thomas P. Doucette, Sr. who passed away on July 18, 2010.

Born in Hartford, Connecticut on December 24, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Olin H. Pendleton and the late Helen E. (Campbell) Pendleton.

“Pat” grew up in Waltham, MA. She attended local schools and graduated from St. Mary’s Parochial High School in Waltham and later received a master’s degree from Antioch University.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the State of Maine as a social worker.

In 1979, she and her late husband moved from Waltham, MA to East Machias, Maine, where they lived until moving to York, Maine. During her years in East Machias, Pat owned and operated Patty’s Bookstore in East Machias, ME.

She is survived by her children, Louise A. “Lou Anne” Lorfing, Diane M. Corbett and her husband Mark, Suzanne Attaei, Thomas P. Doucette, Jr., Steven M. Doucette and Peter J. Doucette. She was the sister of Sue Ellen Ball and the late Edward Pendleton. Pat leaves numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Calling hours are Tuesday, January 3rd, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury, immediately followed by a prayer service to be held at the funeral home and interment at St. Mary Cemetery, 90 River Road, Tewksbury.
