Obituary

Leland “Bo” Miller, 70, of Ledyard passed away Friday, December 2, 2022 at Apple Rehab in Mystic. He was the beloved husband of Colleen (Flynn) Miller.
Born in Rockland, Maine, he was the son of the late Elizabeth Miller and step-father, Bowdoin Miller. He moved to Connecticut at age 11 and graduated from Fitch Senior High School in 1970. He later went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Illinois University.

In 1974, he married his soulmate, Colleen Flynn. They eventually welcomed a daughter and a son to complete their happy family.
Bo was very hard-working and was never one to idly sit by. He could often be found working on various projects in the house and yard, or just tinkering in his garage and had a knack for being able to fix anything.
He had a passion for classic cars, especially Mustangs. In 1999, he founded the Southeastern Connecticut Mustang Club, which is still going strong. He enjoyed the opportunity to gather with other Mustang enthusiasts, and to show his 1970 Mach 1.

Other favorite pastimes included sailing, fishing and clamming with dear friends.
Bo was a lifelong New York Yankees fan, and often engaged in numerous banter with his Red Sox loving friends. He also enjoyed watching the New England Patriots and U-Conn men’s basketball. He was an even bigger fan of watching his son and grandson play hockey, baseball and football, and his granddaughter playing basketball and lacrosse.
Above all else, Bo treasured his family and friends. He loved to celebrate holidays, gather together for picnics and parties, laugh, dance, eat, drink and make memories. He will be fondly remembered for his warm smile, happy spirit, and contagious laugh.
