WORCESTER-Anastasia M. Cullen) Shoreys, formerly of 24 Walworth Street, died peacefully on Saturday May 27th in the St. Francis Home. She was 91 yrs old and the widow of Alfred E. Shoreys, who died in 1988. Mrs. Shoreys was born in New York City a daughter of the late James and Kathryn (Sax) Cullen. A Worcester resident for the past 64 years, she retired in 1980 from the law firm of Bowditch and Dewey in Worcester Worcester. She was a founding member of St. Charles Borromeo Parish.
She is survived by two sons, Peter and his wife Jane of Worcester, Francis and his wife Dianne of Northborough; a daughter Patricia Kearney anc wife of Michael of Ridgefield, Ct, a sister Kathleen Nill of Port Orange, FL, four grandchildren, Wesley Shoreys of Westborough, Michael Kearney Jr. of New York City. Michelle Shoreys Gallant of Auburn and Estelle Shoreys Catanese of Worcester; three great grandchildren Jack and Ethan Gallant, Anthony Catanese and several nieces and nephews. A brother James Cullen and two grandsons James Kearney and Aaron Shoreys predeceased her.
The funeral is Thursday, June 1st, from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 341 June Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Wednesday, May 31st, from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
