Ralph ‘Gary’ Cabozzi, Jr., 72, of Salem, MA, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2022, at Salem Hospital.
A son of the late Ralph and the late Jean Olive (Dale) Cabozzi, he was born January 8, 1950, in Allston, and was raised and educated in that area.
Mr. Cabozzi started his career as a bodyguard for Aerosmith and then worked for various musicians and talk show hosts. He enjoyed wrestling and did wrestle for a short time along with his dedicated career as security for musicians. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle in his younger days and was "king" of the park he grew up at in Allston.
His survivors include his children, Gina Cabozzi of Lowell, Gary Joe Cabozzi of Salisbury, Patricia Caron and her husband, Mike, of Connecticut, Josephine Lawler and Sherry Lawler both of Connecticut, Jean Lawler and Nicole Eanes of Beverly, Joseph Cabozzi and his wife, Samantha all of Lowell, Michelle Cabozzi of Manchester, NH, Stevie Cabozzi of Lowell and Annmarie Farris and her husband, Steve, of Manchester, NH; his grandchildren, Julia, Gianna, Azaria, Alex, Connor, Aiden, Mercedes, Cash, Lyra, Rylan, Larry, Evan, Jadon, Jasmine, Lennon, Jory Jr., and Baby Aubrey due in February; and his brother, Richard Cabozzi. He is also survived by his close friends, Tina LeMieux (who was like a daughter to him) and Christian Clemens (who was like a son to him), and Greg Landanyi; and several nieces, nephews, and friends he made along the way.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Bob Pepe and Patricia.
On Wednesday, January 4, 2023, all are invited to his calling hours from 12 noon-3 p.m. at the MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL 978-458-6816.
