Obituary

PORTER- On Saturday, Dec 24, 2022, Jason Orville Denison, loving son, brother, cousin, nephew, friend and loving father, passed away at the age of 47 after a long illness.

Jason was born in Portland, Maine, on October 27, 1975, to Lincoln and Lorraine Denison of Cornish, Maine,

Jason graduated from Sacopee Valley High School, class of 1994. He went on to get his small aircraft pilot license, and in 1999 joined the United States Air Force, where he served four years working on large aircrafts. After his military career, Jason graduated from the State of Maine Police Academy and served for several years in the town of Buxton as a police officer.

Jason loved flying Cessna airplanes, he also enjoyed at different times in his life, skiing, skateboarding, fishing, snowmobiling, and boating.

Jason also loved photography and making videos. He even played guitar in a band at one point.

Jason’s biggest passions were his two beautiful children, Bristol 10 and Wyatt 9. He had so much love for his children. He loved taking them to the movies, making videos with Wyatt, swimming at Long Pond with them and watching Bristol Cheer.

Jason was well known for his sense of humor, his mischievous ways, (even into adulthood) and his love of family.

Jason is predeceased by his father Lincoln Copp Denison Sr. He is survived by his former wife and great friend, Danika Jones- Denison, and his adoring children Bristol and Wyatt, and his stepchildren, Johann and Skylar of Porter, Maine. His brother, Lincoln Denison Jr and his wife Michele Denison of Cornish, Maine. Sister Lindsey Dyda and her husband Steve of Stow, Ma. Cousin Jennifer Haskell and her husband Mark of Middleton, RI. His mother Lorraine Cassavaugh of Florida. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews he loved so much, Elizabeth Haskell, Brady Denison, Abigail Denison, Amelia Dyda and Jack Dyda. Also, many more cousins, aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be held on Monday Jan. 2 from 2 - 3 PM, followed by a 3 PM memorial service at the Poitras, Neal & York Funeral Home, 71 Maple St., Cornish.

A celebration of life will be held next spring/early summer at Linc and Michele’s home in Cornish, Maine.
