Obituary

Mr. Robert H. Masse, 89, of Lowell passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022, at E. N. Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital. The son of the late Henry and Florence (Chenell) Masse he was born in Lowell on June 16, 1933. Mr. Masse served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was retired from Massachusetts Department of Transportation where he was a heavy equipment operator. Mr. Masse was a member of the Lowell Elks Lodge, Centerville Sportsman Club, Masonic Lodge in Lowell, and the United Continental Travelers. He was an avid hunter and fisherman but most of all he loved to spend time with his family. The widower of Marjorie (Nicholson) Masse, He is survived by his first wife and mother of his children Pauline Masse of Lowell, three daughters: Lisa Moloney of Lowell, Debra and her husband Charles DeMartino of Lowell, Susan and her husband Gary Sousa of Tyngsborough. Three sons: Robert Masse and his wife Elaine of Dracut, David Masse of Nashua, NH, and Keith Masse and his wife Renee of Lowell. There are seven grandchildren: Jennifer Moloney, Ashley Costello, Theodore Masse, Daniel Masse, Keanu Kelleher, Brandon Kelleher, Eric DeMartino. Nine great-grandchildren: Connor, Cooper, Colton, Kason, Sienna, Asher, Kacie, Kailee, and Pearce. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff in building 62D at the Bedford VA for their wonderful care and compassion. Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Edgar J. Racicot Inc. Funeral Home, 1400 Broadway Rd., Dracut. A funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 12:30 pm at the Racicot Funeral home, burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Chelmsford.
