Obituary

PORTER, ME - It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Russ passed away on December 17, 2022 at the age of 50 after a long Illness. He was born in Westbrook on May 26, 1972 the son of Jacqueline Hansen and John Fenderson. He graduated from Sacopee Valley High School, class of 1990 and briefly attended SMVTI. Russ’ greatest joy in life was being a dad to his son Bryce. They spent many good times together over the years, attending races and monster truck shows among other things. He was blessed with many four legged companions over the years, whom he cherished.
Russ enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family, attending many motorsports events all the way from the local Days of Destruction to the Nascar races at Loudon. He especially enjoyed the Oxford 250 with his brothers and friends. More recently he was into photography and collecting special rocks.

Russ was loved and will be sadly missed by many friends and a large extended family; especially by his twin brother Rick, as their bond was amazingly special and they were never too far apart.
