John A. Faia of Winthrop passed away on December 16, 2022. He was 79 years old. John was the beloved husband of the late Louise O. (O’Brien) Faia. Born in Lynn, he was the cherished son of the late John and Phyllis (Bryder) Faia.
John was a Vietnam War veteran serving in the United States Marine Corps from 1962-1966. A barber by trade, he worked in Gio’s Barber Shop in Winthrop.
John was the devoted father of Kerrie L. Faia of Lynn. He was dear brother of the late Delores Moody and Phyllis Sperounis.
A Funeral Service with military honors will be held in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Ave. Bourne, MA, on Thursday, December 22 at 12:45PM. Please arrive at the gate by 12:30PM.
