Beth A. (Cannizzaro) Vigilante, a resident of Lakeville and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life suddenly on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Morton Hospital in Taunton. She was 49 years of age.
Beth was born in Chelsea on June 30, 1973, a daughter of the late Joseph M. Cannizzaro Sr. and Susan R. (McDermott) Cannizzaro. She grew up in Charlestown where she attended St. Catherine's Parochial School and graduated from Mount Saint Joseph Academy. She later received 3 Bachelor's Degrees from St. Joseph's College in Maine and a Master's Degree from University of Pheonix. Beth most recently worked as a payroll manager for Tessera Therapeutics in Somerville for the past year, and also worked for Shorelight Education and Arbella Insurance for several years. In her youth she competed in Irish Step Dancing, where she won many accolades and awards. She was an avid reader and could often be found with a book in her hand. She planned on continuing her education and receiving her Doctorate. She was also an admirer of Abraham Lincoln and enjoyed having the Halloween Spirit. Beth will mostly be remembered for her heart of gold and always putting others before herself.
Beth is the devoted mother of Payton Vigilante. She is the loving Fiancé of Gregory Carrington. She is the beloved sister of Michele Cannizzaro, Joseph Cannizzaro Jr, Rosetta Cannizzaro and her husband Paul, and the late Dorene M. Shannon and her late husband Eric. She is the dear Auntie of Joseph III and Johnathan Cannizzaro, to whom she helped raise. She is also survived by several loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Beth's funeral on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 9 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10 A.M. in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown. Her burial will be private. Her visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 from 3 P.M. to 7 P.M. in the funeral home.
