Obituary

Mary Woulas, 95, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 15th in Manchester, New Hampshire.
Mary was born in Southbridge, Massachusetts on October 19, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Nicholas Woulas and Vasiliki (Gianoutsos) Woulas. Mary grew up in Southbridge and graduated from Mary Wells High School where she played field hockey and ran track. She also enjoyed golf.
In the 1950’s she moved to Worcester, Massachusetts and managed her family’s business, the Columbus Park Spa for many years. Later she worked for Millbrook Distributors and managed their retail store, Duffy’s.
Mary was a proud member of the Order of the Eastern Stars, Chapter 3 for over 50 years.
Later in life, Mary had a home in Naples, Florida where she volunteered at the local library, enjoyed the Naples Philharmonic, and watching the sunset on Vanderbilt Beach.
She was a faithful member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Worcester, Massachusetts and St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church of Naples, Florida. She was a member of the Ladies of the Philoptochos Society at both churches.
Mary was the sister of the late Andronika Mitsis, John Woulas, Parmenion Woulas and Helen Tanionos. She is survived by her sister, Dorothy MacDonald, of Nashua, New Hampshire. Mary was beloved by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Villa Crest Nursing Home in Manchester, New Hampshire, these last seven years, for all the love and care she received.
Private funeral services will be held under the direction of the O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME.
