Obituary

Gary Volis, 34, a lifelong Lowell resident, passed away unexpectedly recently. He was the son of Barbara E. (Convery) Volis of Lowell and Louis Volis also of Lowell.

He was born in Boston on April 7, 1988 and was raised and educated in Lowell. He loved playing video games, among other hobbies. Due to his illness he held various jobs over the years.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his large family of brothers and sisters, including, Robert L. Volis of Tewksbury, June K. Volis and her partner, Sam Khun, of Tyngsboro, Theodore L. Volis of Lowell, Louis A. Volis of Billerica, Barbara A. Volis of Lowell, Debra E. Volis-Le and her husband, Dung Le of Lowell, Karen H. Volis of Lowell, Rickey Volis of Dracut and Kevin M. Volis of Lowell, 5 nieces and nephews, Kayla Volis of Dracut, Little Louie Volis of Lowell, Tiffany Volis of Lowell, Charlie Fox of Lawrence, and Devin Le of Dracut; many aunts uncles, including David T. Convery of Lowell, many cousins, and friends.

He was also predeceased by his brother, the late Timothy Volis.

On Friday, December 16, 2022 all are welcome to attend his visitation from 8 until 9 a.m. at McDonough Funeral Home, 14 Highland Street, Lowell, 978-458-6816. His funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. at St. Margaret of Scotland Church, 374 Stevens Street, Lowell, MA, followed by burial at St. Patrick Cemetery.
