Rita S. Nicolan-Manning, age 83, of Canton passed away December 9th. Born in New Bedford, she was raised in Fall River and has lived in Canton for over 40 years. She worked for many years as the Store Manager for Thayer Pharmacy in Canton and more recently with the Meals on Wheels Program in Westwood for 10 years. She also volunteered for HESSCO Elder Services and enjoyed the Norwood Bowling League and the Italian American Bowling Social League.
Beloved wife of of the late Philip D. Manning and Frank Nicolan. Mother of Deborah A. Podgurski of Stoughton, Cheryl Nicolan of Mansfield, Melinda A. Cornelissen of Brockton, Kenneth Nicolan and his wife Christine of Pembroke, Clint Nicolan of Taunton and the late John Hunt. Stepmother of Ruth Cummins of CT. Sister of the late Pauline Delgado and Richard LePage. Also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Tuesday 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass at St. Oscar Romero Church (formerly St. John the Evangelist), Canton Wednesday morning at 10:00. Burial Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
