Obituary

Richard John Marshall, 79, of Medway, died Thursday, December 8, 2022, at the Milford Regional Medical Center.

Born in Boston on April 12, 1943, he was the son of the late William and Alice (Twist) Marshall.

Richard grew up in Waltham and graduated form Waltham High School. He resided in Hampton, New Hampshire for many years until moving to Medway six years ago.

Richard was a crane operator for the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 4 for 50 years. He had previously worked as a police officer for the City of Waltham for five years.

Richard loved to fish, enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and spending time at Lake Winnipesaukee. He also enjoyed going to the casino and dog track and was an avid New England Patriots fan.

He is survived by three sons, Timothy Marshall of Medway, Richard Marshall and his wife Julie of Pepperell, and Joseph Marshall and his wife Ronica of Hampton, New Hampshire, his daughter Barbara Fasolino and her husband Mike of Medway, eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by his brother Bill Marshall of Houston, Texas, his cousin Ann Zagwyn of Marlboro and many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Bob Marshall.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, December 13 from 4 – 7 p.m. in the Ginley Crowley Funeral home, 3 Barber Street in Medway (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) followed by a funeral service at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
