Julius "Buddy" Pitts, 80, of Tifton, died Saturday, May 27, 2006 at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Burial will follow in Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 29, 2006 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson.
Mr. Pitts was born on December 27, 1925 in Tift County and was the son of Jake W. Pitts and Allie Noland Pitts, both deceased. He was a veteran, having served in the Marines, and was a member of Eldorado Baptist Church.
Mr. Pitts is survived by three brothers, W. C. Pitts of Omega, Bill Joe Pitts of Ty Ty and J. T. Pitts of Poulan; seven sisters, Patricia Hendricks of Tifton, Opel Hines of Tifton, Jeanette Franklin of Omega, Videria Luke of Ormond Beach, Florida, Betty Harris of Tifton, Donnie Kay Crocker of Tifton and Bonnie Fay Collier of Adel.
