PUTNAM, CT – Jerzy Michalowski, 79, of Putnam, CT passed away peacefully at home after an illness with his wife at his side.
He was born on August 28, 1943 in Poland and moved to the USA in 1984. He was the son of the late Aleksander Michalowski and Janina (Sokolowska) Michalowski.
He was the husband of Halina (Kurpiel) Michalowski. In addition to his wife he is survived by his sister Celina Michalowska, by his brother Antoni Michalowski and his wife Jadwiga, and by his sister-in-law Maria Michalowska, all of Poland, and many cousins, nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his sister Wieslawa Michalowska and by his brother Stefan Michalowski.
He enjoyed talking to people, helping them and watching political channels.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, December 13, from the Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster, MA, with a Mass at 10:30 AM in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street, Webster, MA. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace, Webster, MA. Visitation will be held from 8:45 to 10:00 AM on Tuesday in the funeral home. Relatives and friends are invited.
