Obituary

STURBRIDGE; Thomas Dufour, 49, a long time Auburn resident, died unexpectedly at his home on December 5.
He leaves his step-children Ashley and Jamie Deneault, a grandson Jasper Rhault; his brother, Patrick Dufour and his wife Candice of Auburn; a sister, Katelyn Browning and her husband Jonathan of Auburn; a nephew Finn and niece Quinn Dufour; nieces, Piper, Violet, and Fiona Browning; three aunts, Maureen Haran of Millbury, Elaine Elliott of South Carolina, Donna Haran of Worcester; an uncle, Thomas Haran of Millbury; a fiance, Tatiana Rivas and her son Owen, as well as many cousins and countless friends.
He was predeceased by his father, Wilfrid J. Dufour in 2014 and his mother, Gayle K. (Haran) Dufour in 2017 and a brother Liam Dufour in 1978.
Thomas was born in Worcester and graduated from Auburn High School. He attended St. Michael's College in Vermont. For the past 8 years he was the proud owner/general manager of Liberty Tax in Auburn.
He was very active in the Knights of Columbus 4158 in Auburn, serving at one time as Grand Knight.
He was an avid New England sports fan, especially the Patriots. He loved to karaoke, cook, play cards, anything Disney, and telling a bad joke. He could (and often did) turn anything into a song.
Tom's funeral will be held Friday, December 9 from the MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester with a Mass at 10 A.M. in St. Pius X Church, 1153 Main Street, Leicester. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn. Calling hours are Thursday from 4-7 P.M. in the funeral home.
