June Gibbs Wiggins, 90, of Tifton passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at Cobblestone Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Moultrie. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 9, 2022, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Mark Myers officiating. Mrs. Wiggins will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 9, 2022, at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service.
Mrs. Wiggins’ family members will serve as pallbearers.
Born June 12, 1932, in Tifton, Mrs. Wiggins was the daughter of the late Ollie Edgar Gibbs, Sr. and Caroline Mae Love Gibbs. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Franklin Wiggins, Sr.; one son, Gary Douglas “Doug” Wiggins; one daughter, Deborah “Kay” Dunn; four brothers, Ollie Edgar Gibbs, Jr., Lawrence Gibbs, Vernon Gibbs and Wallace Sanders Gibbs; and four sisters, Garland Ryan, Gwen Reeves, Sarah May Boush and Faye Jones. She was a homemaker and had previously owned a florist shop in Tifton. She was a member of Tifton’s First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Wiggins is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Leonard Franklin Wiggins “Lenny”, Jr and his wife, Kellie of Hahira; a son-in-law, Johnny Dunn of Omega; five grandchildren, Brooke Stephen, Britney Wiggins, Sonya Dunn Fulp and her husband, Jamie Paul Fulp, John Edward Dunn, Jr. and Stacie Dunn Donaldson and her husband, John Lawrence Donaldson; and five great-grandchildren, Ashton Taylor Fulp, Samuel Willard Fulp, Reagan Madeline Fulp, Kaytee Elizabeth Donaldson and John Samuel Donaldson.
