Melissa Young Brantley, 47, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held 4 PM, Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with Bishop Brent Griffin officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Monday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Melissa was born January 3, 1975, to Kenny Wayne Young and the late Beth Taylor Young Smith. She was a 1993 graduate of Fitzgerald High School. She was a sitter for her grandchildren and loved them dearly. They will all greatly miss their “Sweetie”.
She is survived by her husband, Jason Brantley of Fitzgerald; two daughters: Taylor Brantley & Heath Crosby of Ocilla and Josie & Lane Roberson of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Ashton Roberson, Ella-Beth Brantley, Colton Roberson, and Anna-Leigh Kate Crosby; father, Kenny Young of Fitzgerald; a brother, Brandon Young of Fitzgerald; mother-in-law: Marcia & Marcus Paulk of Ocilla; father-in-law: Charles & Pat Brantley of Ashburn; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins including: Linda Young Griffin, Steve & Kathy Taylor, and Mike & Chrisy Taylor.
