HARRIS, Beverly M. (Martin), Age 89, of West Roxbury, MA and Naples, FL passed away on December 1, 2022. Beloved wife of John F. Harris of West Roxbury, MA and Naples, FL. Devoted daughter of the late Anne (Hayes) and William Martin of West Roxbury, MA. She was the loving mother to her three sons, William Harris, and his wife Paula of Plymouth and Mark J. Harris of West Roxbury, MA and the late John W. Harris. Cherished grandmother to her four grandchildren Sean, Meaghan, Nicole and Julianna. Dear sister of Ruth (Martin), and her husband James Gillis of Westwood and the late Barbara (Martin) and her late husband Frederick J. Walsh of Needham. Beverly also leaves many beloved nieces and nephews. Beverly was a life-long resident of West Roxbury. She attended the Joyce Kilmer and Robert Gould Shaw for her grade school years and went on to attend St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Jamaica Plain. Beverly was an employee of the Boston Public Schools for over fourteen years.
Beverly and John were married at St. Theresa of Avila Church in West Roxbury in 1956. Together they shared sixty-six years of marriage. Beverly and John loved to travel and enjoyed visiting fabulous destinations together. In their later years, Beverly and John enjoyed spending the winters in Naples, FL, where they had many friends. They were very active in their community in Naples and also served as members of the Naples St. Patrick’s Day Parade planning committee for many years. Beverly and John were friendly, outgoing, kind and sociable people. They will be missed by all who had the pleasure to meet them.
