Lucy (White) Zakarian, 95, of Worcester died Saturday, November 26th in the Lutheran Home surrounded by her family. Her husband of 55 years, Armand Zakarian died in 2003. She leaves her three daughters, Adriane L. Zakarian and Diane Zakarian both of Worcester and Dottie Zakarian of Marston Mills; and a niece. She was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy Balian.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of Mike and Shenorik “Grace” (Bozarian) White and graduated from the former High School of Commerce in 1945. Lucy owned and operated Brite Cleaners with her husband, Armand until retiring in 1997. She was a member of the Armenian Church of Our Saviour.
Funeral services and burial in Hope Cemetery were privately held. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue assisted the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lucy’s name to the Armenian Church of Our Saviour, 87 Salisbury Street, Worcester, Massachusetts 01609.
