PETRILLI, Henry “Hank” 96, of Needham, MA, formerly of Springfield, IL, died on Monday, November 28, 2022, at Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
Hank was born on April 18, 1926, in Springfield, the son of Joseph and Evelina Viele Petrilli. He married Laura E. Petrilli on February 22, 1954, at St. Aloysius; she preceded him in death in 1998. He then married Patricia Waite Petrilli on July 6, 2002, in Wellesley, MA.
Hank was a graduate of Cathedral Boys High School. He served his country during WWII. For 35 years, he worked for the State of IL, Department of Corrections – General Service Administration. Hank retired in 1980. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus #364 and a board member at St. Joseph’s Home.
He was also preceded in death by six brothers, Pasqualino, Lino, Orazio, F.L. “Joe”, Louis, and John Petrilli.
He is survived by his wife, Pat Petrilli of Needham, MA; four children, Ann (Ron) Wells of Copley, OH, Paul J. (Terri) Petrilli of Redlands, CA, Regina (Peter) Cram of Glastenbury, CT, and Virginia (Mike) Martin of Houston, TX; and sixteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St., (Rt 16) WELLESLEY, on Monday, Dec. 5, from 9:30-10:30am, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Paul Church, Wellesley, at 11:00am.
