James A. “Jim” Bowers, 81, of Anderson, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at Anderson St. Vincent Hospital.
He was born on April 1, 1941 in Middletown, the son of Bill and Rosemary (McLeland) Bowers. Jim served in the US Air Force and was employed for over 30 years in manufacturing with Chrysler. He was a longtime member and served many years as an elder of Cadiz Christian Church. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking. Jim was a “jack of all trades.”
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ann (Bay) Bowers; two daughters, Jennifer (Rondel) Ramsey of Lincoln, IL and Christine Bowers of Anderson; two grandchildren, Zachary (Betsy) Ramsey and Abbie Ramsey; two great grandchildren, Lydia and Micah; three siblings, Gay Young, David Bowers, and Joan McGuire; several nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, and brother John Bowers.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 1 PM at Cadiz Christian Church, 4894 S. R. 38, New Castle, IN.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11 AM until the service at 1 at the church.
Burial will take place at a later date at Green Hill Memorial Gardens, New Castle.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association or Cadiz Christian Church.
