Retired Tewksbury Transit Bus Driver

TEWKSBURY: James F. Mosewick, age 79, a resident of Tewksbury for over 30 years, and a devout parishioner of St. William’s Church, passed away at Lowell General Hospital on Sunday, November 27, 2022.

He was the beloved husband of Lena (Tercero) Mosewick, with whom he celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary on August 6, 2022.

Jim was raised in Dorchester area of Boston. He attended Don Bosco Technical High School and was a graduate of the Wentworth Institute of Technology, where he studied Mechanical Engineering.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Tewksbury Transit Company for over 20 years along with his wife Lena. They were partners in crime working together, meeting many people, and traveling all over New England. Prior to that, Jim worked for McCord Winn Textron.

Known and loved by his family as “Grandpa”, Jim enjoyed tinkering and repairing many mechanical and household devices.

He loved animals and especially enjoyed the companionship of his cat “Kiwi”. He also enjoyed listening to music from his childhood including his favorite artist, Elvis Presley.

In addition to his wife, he leaves four children, Lisa M. Ameigh and her husband Conor, of Bradford, NH, Mary A. Mosewick, of Tewksbury, Ray G. McDonald and his wife Kendra and family, of Holly Springs, North Carolina, and Carolyn McCaigue, of Tewksbury: four grandchildren, Ava and Gia Ameigh, and Austin and Kayla McCaigue: and his cousin, Joseph Szymanski.

Family and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Saturday, December 3rd, at 10 a.m. at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main Street, Route 38, Tewksbury. Interment to follow at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. In lieu of flowers, donation in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or online at www.stjude.org
