Russell Eugene Miller 71 of Muncie, passed away following a brief illness on Sunday, November 27, 2022.
He was born on February 12, 1951 in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Walter Miller and Mary (Cima) Miller. He graduated from Madison Heights High School and went on to earn his BA and MBA degrees from Anderson University. He retired from UPS after 42 years. During his years at UPS he worked in sales, accounting, and operations. He recently had been working at Ball State University as a bookkeeper. He attended Yorktown Methodist Church. Before moving to Muncie in 2018 he attended and served in many ministries at Madison Park Church of God.
Russ is survived by his wife Michelle (Hancock) Miller, who he married on May 16, 2015; two children, Jennifer (Adam) Neise and Josh (Ann) Miller; sister, Denyse (Allen) Thorpe; grandchildren, Gabe and Daniella Neise, Caden Miller, Ethan Dilts, and McKenzie Miller; niece Julia Thorpe.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his aunt and uncle, Vern and Lois Forsberg.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service, officiated by Pastor Matthew Leffler. Interment will be at a later date at Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 11 AM until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to the John and Julia Cima Endowed Scholarship at Anderson University or the Yorktown Methodist Church.
