Shirley D. (Livermore) Griffin, age 87, passed away on Nov. 27, 2022 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Stafford Springs, CT. Surrounded by her family. She was born on December 1, 1934 in Northfield, Mass daughter of the late Ralph Thompson and Edna Francis (Bruce) Livermore. Shirley worked as a unit secretary at Baystate Medical Center for over 30 years before retiring. She is predeceased by her husband Ernest Girardin who passed away in 1988 and by Ambrose Griffin who passed away in 2015. She is survived by her children Terrance Girardin and his wife Tami of Chicopee, Bonnie Oates and her husband Carl of Enfield, CT Thomas Girardin of Chicopee and Lori Tardif and her husband Richard of Somers, CT Her step children Desiree Jarosz and her husband Thomas of Springfield, John Griffin and his wife of Oregon and James Griffin and his wife Jasmine of Enfield, CT along with 10 grandchildren, Dominic, Nicole, Emily, Amanda, Taylor, Amanda, Matthew, William, Shaun and Emma. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2022 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. Funeral Service will be on Thursday, Dec. 1, from 10-11 AM at the funeral home followed by an in house Prayer Service at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
