Obituary

Timothy James Doyle
1964-2022

Tim was the first person people called when they were in a bind, and met friends wherever he went. On a random trip to the grocery store, his brother Shawn met him out front having a smoke and chatting with another man. “Did you know him?”, Shawn asked. “No”, said Tim “He asked for a smoke, and we got to talking. Seemed like a nice guy, a bit down on his luck, so I gave him a few bucks”. That was Tim, and the world is a little less bright without him in it.

Tim died peacefully on Thursday, November 24, 2022, at Lawrence General Hospital after an acute cardiac illness, with his family by his side. He was born in 1964 in Lowell, MA, a twin with his sister Barbara. He grew up in Tewksbury, MA and is a 1982 graduate of Tewksbury Memorial High School. He lived his life in the Tewksbury area working as an expert mechanic. Tim could fix anything!

A lover of military history, Tim devoured books on the subject and enjoyed visiting different historical sites, including a trip to Charleston, SC to see the Yorktown and to visit the Hunley Museum. A very private man, he enjoyed spending time with close friends, and he had a laugh that could fill up a room. It is the sound of that cackling Iaugh that will be missed most by those who loved him.

Tim is pre-deceased by his parents, James and Patricia (nee Rivard) Doyle, and his older brother Mark. He is survived by his other siblings: Maureen Doyle of Covington, KY; Robert Doyle of Tewksbury, MA, Barbara Doyle of Charlotte, NC; Patricia Doyle of Windham, NH, her husband Jim and their two children; and Shawn Doyle of Lowell, MA and his daughters Alicia and Danielle. He will be greatly missed by his long-time partner, Mary Lou O’Brien of Lawrence, MA.

Family and friends will be received Wednesday, November 30, 2022, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury, MA, immediately followed by a prayer service at the funeral home. If so inclined, please consider donations to the American Heart Association or the Lowell House Addiction Treatment and Recovery program.
