Margaret A. Petrillo, at the age of 101, a lifelong resident of Woburn passed away peacefully in her home, Thursday, November 24, 2022, following a short period of declining health. Born in Bethel, Vermont, she was one of ten children of the late Anthony and Marion (Ciampo) Petrillo.
Margaret was a 1939 graduate of Woburn High School. Following high school, she attended business school in Boston. She worked in the accounting department of the Gas Company for over forty years prior to her retirement in 1988. Margaret also enjoyed sewing and was a talented seamstress. She loved traveling and especially loved to dance "well into her 90's". She looked forward to having her hair styled every Friday and was always impeccably dressed and up date with the current fashions. She will fondly be remembered as a proud independent woman, always kind, gracious, loving and charitable to all her knew her.
Margaret is survived by her brother Anthony Petrillo of Reading. She was the dear aunt of Richard Quinno and his wife Carol of Woburn, the late John Quinno and his surviving wife Lee Maynard of Woburn, and is further survived by many more loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her late parents, she is sadly predeceased by her siblings, the late Frances Quinno, Nicholas Petrillo, Joseph Petrillo, Jennie Pecora, Delphine Walker, Elizabeth Petrillo, Adeline Dagata, Carlo Petrillo, and Virginia Petrillo.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated, Wednesday, November 30th, in St Charles Borromeo Church, 280 Main St., Woburn, at 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family prior to the Mass at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., Woburn, from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Services will conclude with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Winchester. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Margaret's memory to the Woburn Senior Center, 144 School St. Woburn, MA 01801.
