It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our matriarch Jeanne Lumene (Emile) Montissol on 11/23/22. She passed away peacefully at the age of 96.
Jeanne was born on December 16, 1925 in Thomazeau, Haiti to the late Rosemise Dormervil and the late Augustin Emile. She was raised along with 4 siblings that have passed away. Jeanne was a beacon of light in this world, that now we will carry within us in our own lives. Jeanne is survived by her 9 children; Renaud Pierre, Barthony Verdieu, Nicole Lavaud, Leonard Montissol, Jean Wilbert Montissol, Mario Montissol, Emmanuel Montissol, Jean Willy Montissol, Mimose Montissol, 40 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren, 19 great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Jeanne's family will receive visitors On Friday, December 9, from 6-8 PM in the Joseph Russo Funeral Home, 814 American Legion Highway, Roslindale, MA. On Saturday, December 10, at 10 am A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, 1584 Blue Hill Ave, Mattapan, MA. Entombment will be at St. Michael’s Cemetery, 500 Canterbury St, Roslindale, MA.
The repass will be at Voltage Park Event Center, 1260 River Street, Hyde Park, MA.
